In the 17th century, this breed of horses was first introduced. Most likely, it was bred intentionally for English equestrian sport. But the main goal of the British was to create a powerful horse army. After some time, the breed underwent changes and improved, and its popularity spread far beyond the United Kingdom of Great Britain.

This type of horse was kept in the best and most suitable conditions for survival. They were specially trained and grown using special technology in a special environment. Throughout all time, the English thoroughbred was mated only with representatives of its own species, which is why it is still considered to be purebred.
