First, it should be said about the origin of dolphins, which were previously land creatures and roamed the earth, but they did not particularly like the conditions of land on land, and they just took it and went under water. Yes, it happens, animals can radically change their habitat like this, although not immediately. Of course, this required a long evolution and a whole canvas of body modifications, which from the land became streamlined and able to move under water.

White-faced dolphin: appearance features
A distinctive feature of the white-faced dolphin is a five-centimeter beak, which makes these animals cute and attractive in appearance. In color, they have a dark back and sides, but the abdomen has white color. The teeth have a length of about 7 millimeters and can vary in number from 22 to 28 pairs. Of course, people with these teeth should not be particularly wary. For the most part, dolphins are quite peaceful in relation to people in particular, but still some caution should be exercised.
The white-headed dolphin inhabits mainly the waters of the North Atlantic. If we talk about the territory of Russia, then there he is found in the waters of the North Sea and the Baltic Sea, he also swims between the shores of France and Iceland, travels even in the area of the Massachusetts Gulf. However, it is completely unknown exactly how these dolphins migrate; this issue remains almost completely unexplored.

White-headed dolphins are not individualists, they gather in packs, or rather groups, which make up up to eight representatives of the species. In such groups, pairs can be formed that are quite stable, that is, animals are almost monogamous.
Like some other marine animals, they can gather in huge colonies.This is due to the presence of food in a certain location. If somewhere there is a lot of food, then dolphins can gather in a colony up to one and a half thousand.
They breed in the fall, somewhere during the transition from summer to autumn. The period of existence is about 40 years. Oddly enough, in greenhouse conditions of bondage they feel worse, and the period of existence can also be reduced.
Surprisingly, they eat various seafood. This includes different varieties of mollusks and crustaceans, different varieties of fish.

Much about these dolphins is still unknown, they are rather mysterious animals, but scientists have managed to find out some details by now.

They are listed in the Red Book of Russia. Moreover, in Russia these dolphins were never caught for fishing, and indeed they were not particularly caught. Nevertheless, there are countries where white-faced dolphins are eaten, for example, in Iceland or Greenland.
In general, at this time they are out of danger of destruction and the world population remains quite stable. The total number of animals is about a hundred thousand. Moreover, on the territory of Russia, the white-faced dolphin belongs to endangered species.
