The content of the article
The orange yeast mushroom is a representative of the yerozhkov family.
Appearance and Features
Instead of the usual legs and hats, the mushroom has a gelatinous, jelly-like appearance that does not have a clear outline and shakes the fruit body when it touches it. The jellyiness of the fungus can be explained by the fact that it has the ability to absorb water in the rain. The crusher has neither taste nor smell. The surface of the fungus is sticky. Its size can be from 1 to 15 centimeters. The color of the fungus varies from white, almost transparent, to orange. Over time, the mushrooms darken and dry out.
In dry weather, the shiver shrinks, its color darkens. In a drought, the fungus can dry out and remain in this state for quite some time or even evaporate. With sufficient humidity, the mushroom comes to life, increases in size and restores its color and shape. During heavy prolonged rains, the trembling becomes almost transparent.
Relocation sites
Orange crustaceans begin to grow in November, bear fruit from late summer to late spring, freeze in winter, and continue to develop when the thaw ends.
Similarity with other species
Despite its rather peculiar appearance, the common trembling has relatives living in the Primorsky Territory. This is a fucus-shaped yeast and a leafy yeast, which, unlike the orange yeast, is not an edible mushroom. In addition, the color of the leaflet is brownish.
Processing and eating orange yeast
Clovers are edible. They can be used both fresh and added to vegetable salads, more often they are added just for decoration. Sometimes mushroom lovers make broth from dried or fresh yeast. Orange shiver is a storehouse of vitamin B and aminocarboxylic acids. The high content of beneficial elements allows the use of the fungus in the treatment of tumors. However, the mushroom does not represent nutritional value.
The usefulness of trembling is appreciated by the people of China. They consider this mushroom to be a delicacy and everywhere they cook cold vegetarian soups with Chinese dates and lily bulbs, whose beneficial properties have a beneficial effect on the immune system. In Russia, people do not know how to properly assemble and prepare a shaker. In addition, it’s quite problematic to just bring a mushroom from the forest, because on the way it can simply evaporate. In general, the appearance of this mushroom in Russia has a rather complicated story: there are legends around Europe that a trembling can grow near a door only if damage has been made to the owner of the house, and to get rid of it, the mushroom must be pierced with a pin and be sure to, so that the juice flows to the ground.
An interesting fact is that since ancient times glue was made from shakers, but not everyone knew the recipe, and now it is irretrievably lost.
Medicinal properties
In the yeast, there is an ethanol extract that can destroy (parenchyma) cancer cells that cause lung cancer and cervical cancer in women. Also, with the help of ethanol extract in the treatment of malignant tumors with chemotherapy, its effect can be enhanced.
Application of tremors in other countries
In China, trembling is often used in alternative medicine as a means of strengthening immunity, and diseases of the nervous system, including paralysis, are also treated. As a remedy for bronchitis, tremor has also found wide application. The British found their method of using the fungus in medicine - rubbing the body with a mushroom to rid a person of skin ulcers.
