Laughter, love, joy, kindness ... Aggression is one of human emotions, only with a negative meaning. Each of the manifestations of the human psyche is given to us by nature, however, every sane person should understand how this emotion is unpleasant and even dangerous for others, and for this reason try to restrain it. If this is not done, the negative will grow like a snowball, and getting out of this state is extremely problematic.
The causes of aggression
You need to understand that absolutely everyone can be subject to aggression. That's just someone can restrain their emotions so as not to spill negative on the heads of others, and someone cannot or does not even want to cope with this negativity.
A person in a fit of aggression experiences a deterioration of not only mental but also physical condition. His heart rate, palpitations are quickening, and tingling in the neck and shoulders is possible. In this state, the "aggressor" is able to do a lot of stupidities, which he will later regret, insult, or even hit someone inappropriately tucked into his arm.
Often people can’t even understand why they have so much anger towards others. To suppress aggression, you first need to find out the causes of its occurrence, to find the origins.
There are many reasons that can trigger negative emotions.
The causes of aggression may include:
- Hormonal changes in the body due to various diseases, as well as a lack of necessary substances.
- Hunger. Women who follow any system of weight loss, very often break their irritation on others.
- State of constant stress, depression, overwork.
- Short-term extraneous irritants. It is enough to recall the expression: "I got up on the wrong foot."
- Hard work. This is especially true for women who are overworked at work, and yet you still have to redo many things at home. Lack of time, lack of sleep, as a rule, lead to an increase in irritation, which, sooner or later will result in a flash of aggression.
- You can get negative emotions in the course of a dispute if you failed to prove your point of view.
- Depression and, as a result, an aggressive state can arise from unrealized plans, overstated expectations. For example, a person was counting on a promotion, but did not get it, or a woman planned to lose 15 kilograms during a diet, but got rid of only 6 kg.
By the way, it is believed that aggression is an ancient instinct that promotes survival.
Types of aggression
The key to a successful fight against aggression is to determine not only the reasons for its appearance, but also the types:
- Verbal - direct aggression, not involving physical impact. May be due to a bad mood, a bad day. As a rule, the "aggressor" breaks down on a person who is nearby, turning to a scream and sharply gesturing.
- Hostile aggression, expressed in the intention of a person to cause physical harm to another, to accompany rude words not only with gestures, but also with a blow.
- Instrumental expressed in a person’s intention to throw out his anger not by physical impact on another person, but by imitation of this action with the help, for example, of a punching bag. This is a good type of aggression and it is aimed at the desire to learn how to manage your emotions, to prevent other people from suffering from them.
- Unmotivated. A person cannot explain the reason for the bad mood. It can be either direct or hidden when the symptoms are carefully hidden from others.
- Straight. In this case, the "aggressor" does not intend to hide the bad mood and directly makes it clear to the selected object that he does not like it.
- Indirect. A person in a state of this type of aggression may often not understand that he is experiencing aggression towards the subject. As an example, a feeling of envy can be cited.
How to get rid of aggression
Learning adequate behavior, correctly perceiving external factors, and not giving a negative exit, it would seem, is so simple. However, all this must be learned.
- One of the most common and time-tested exercises is the following. If you feel that you are about to fall off and the consequences can be very unpleasant, just close your eyes and try to disengage. Count to 10. This simple technique significantly reduces blood adrenaline, which is developed in anticipation of a conflict situation, allows a person to concentrate and act adequately and meaningfully.
- Remember that the people around you are far from perfect. Each of them has its own character, watch out for quick-tempered people. If you feel that one of them is in a state bordering on aggression, just step aside.
- Laughter prolongs life! These wonderful emotions have a beneficial effect on a person, relieves irritability, anger and aggression. If you don’t feel like laughing at all, try just to smile. Even the usual imitation of a smile helps to relax the body, relieve muscle tension. By the way, in yoga there is even an exercise called the “Buddha Smile”. It gives an amazing effect, after such an artificial smile, the body and soul are charged with joy and positive emotions.
- In no case should you accumulate negativity in yourself. Remember, above we talked about instrumental aggression? Negative emotions can be thrown out not on others, but, for example, through exercises in the gym, dancing, fitness, aerobics or a regular punching bag. The advantage of a pear is that by striking it, one can imagine an irritant.
- Get plenty of rest, get enough sleep, and prevent chronic fatigue syndrome. Try to be more often in the fresh air. If you are used to getting to work by public transport or by private car, change your habit. Go to work on foot, thus starting the day with a walk.
- Aromatherapy is very relevant in our time. Lavender or sandalwood oils perfectly relieve tension, stress and contribute to finding peace and tranquility.
- Tell a loved one about your problems. It is very important that you be listened to, sympathized with, given to speak out. Remember that you can be addressed with a similar request, never refuse a person if he wants to share his problems with you.
- If you feel that you are not able to cope with aggression alone, consult a specialist who will help you understand the causes of its occurrence. An experienced psychologist will teach you some ways to deal with this unpleasant phenomenon.
What to do if everything annoys you:
- Do not let yourself provoke.
- Do not respond angrily to mockery and unkind attacks.
- Analyze the situation, it is quite possible that you are making an elephant out of a fly.
- Do not fall into set traps. For example, becoming a victim of slander, do not waste time on excuses. Time will put everything in its place.
Now you know how to deal with aggressive behavior. The most important thing is not to let the situation drift and try to solve it.

What kind of nonsense are you writing here? Suppress aggression? What kind of conflicting lines ???? If this is a normal human emotion, then its suppression will cause even greater chaos, and just in case of its suppression in itself then the most terrible and irreversible things happen! All the most dangerous criminals and people with “yellow cards” are past “quiet people” who have been silent for a lifetime and who have recently released the accumulated energy. Aggression, anger, anger and other emotions that are considered negative do not need to be suppressed. First you need to understand the reason for their appearance and if the reason is clear, then if possible avoid not the emotion itself, but its causes. If this cannot be done in any way, then aggression can always be directed in a different direction. However, she must ALWAYS give a way out !!! In order to avoid disastrous consequences. Such as psychosamatics, the potential tendency to kill and bully others as a result of the long suppression of their NORMAL human feelings. Aggression is a form of resentment, pain and despair that have taken an acute form.
Physical activity, meditation, self-development and self-love are the most faithful companions of NOT suppression, but pacification and acceptance of this feeling. Fiz. Stresses cause hormones of happiness in the body, meditation helps to calm the nervous system, self-development teaches to be more tolerant and wiser than offenders, well, self-love always helps us to respect and love others more, as it would not sound paradoxical.
