Basic rules for preparing a chicken coop

- during the construction of the chicken coop, it is advisable to lay a concrete base;

- eliminate any cracks and crevices in the walls and floors of the room;
- replace old weak boards with strong new ones;
- cover the floor with tin plates to avoid undermining;
- install a frequent metal mesh around the house’s perimeter, burying it half a meter in the ground;
- smear the walls with tar or spread goatskins in some places, the pungent odor scares the ferrets away;
- eliminate gaps on the roof, preventing the penetration of any predators.
It is equally important to prepare the local area in anticipation of the "enemy". There should not be large clusters of branches, boards, or any other rubbish around where the animal could hide. Faced with an attack for the first time, you need to follow a couple of weeks for your bird. During the day, let it out into specially enclosed pens, and in the dark, lock it in a more reliable barn. Faced constantly with insurmountable obstacles, ferrets usually pass and go to look for more affordable yards, where there is something to profit from.
How to catch a ferret yourself
If you have already met a ferret, you need to act with lightning speed, he is too quick and cunning. Quickly throw a large fur coat or old coat taken by surprise on the beast, then wrap it up and move it into a cage.
You can get by with thick gauntlets, if you are smart enough, you can grab the beast with your hands. If the ferret twists and bites, grab it by the nose and insert a stick between the jaws.
