How to get rid of the smell of burning in the microwave

The microwave oven has become an integral household appliance in our life. With its help, you can easily warm up any dish, drink. Also, a simple snack is prepared in the microwave or thawed foods are thawed. There is a drawback of a household appliance - if the product has a specific smell, the camera can be ventilated up to several days after use. In order to prevent such incidents, the microwave oven must be looked after.

Method number 1. Lemon

1. If you encounter an unpleasant odor problem inside the chamber, take a heat-resistant container and fill it with water by about 1/2.
2. Next, chop half the lemon in a way convenient for you, send citrus to a bowl of water. Put the container in the microwave, set the full power, press "Start".
3. The procedure should take about 6 minutes. After the time has passed, remove the bowl, get rid of the ingredients, then repeat the manipulations with the new lemon.
4. Instead of fruit, you can use citric acid or juice. In the same container with water, add 12 g. powder or 100 ml. citrus fluids.
5. The procedure in this case lasts up to 10 minutes. Thanks to vapors, the substance corrodes pollution and destroys the unpleasant smell of burnt products.
6. Do not rush to open the oven door, wait 15 minutes, proceed to clean the chamber. Take a clean, dry cloth, begin to remove all dirt.
7. You can remove spots from the corners of the camera with slices of lemon. Carefully walk the citrus walls, then re-wipe the microwave with a damp kitchen sponge.
8. An alternative to lemon is any citrus fruit. It is enough to separate the zest from the fetus, fill it with water and send it to the microwave for 10 minutes. Keep in mind that microwave power must be at maximum.

Method number 2. Coffee

1. Get coffee beans, grind in any way possible, pour freshly ground powder on a flat plate.
2. Send the container to the microwave all night. In the allotted time, coffee absorbs all the odors, while leaving a pleasant aroma.
3. You can also use freshly brewed coffee mass. Apply the product on the inside of the oven, wait about 3 hours. Then wash the chamber with plain water and a sponge. It is important that the coffee grounds do not contain granulated sugar.

Method number 3. Vinegar

1. Take a small container for the microwave oven, pour purified water into it about half of the total volume. Then add 60 ml to the container. 9% table vinegar.
2. Send the container to the chamber, set full power, start the device. Wait 8 minutes, vinegar fumes will help to overcome the smell of burning and other unpleasant odors.
3. The substance also effectively corrodes food residues. After that, clean the walls of the microwave with a dry cloth. Repeat the procedure if necessary.
4. Be careful, the substance has a pungent unpleasant odor. To prevent its further spread throughout the apartment, it is recommended to open the windows wide in advance.
5. Also, to absorb odor before the procedure, a few drops of any essential oil can be added to the total capacity. Process the inside of the microwave periodically to prevent such problems in the future.

Method number 4. Activated carbon and salt

1. Take a sufficient amount of activated carbon, grind the composition into powder, send to the microwave tray. The substance is capable of absorbing even the most persistent odors.
2. Activated carbon must be left inside the oven overnight. After that, wash the device with ordinary soapy water and repeat the procedure if necessary.
3. An alternative to activated carbon can be rock, iodized or sea salt. Pour the mixture onto the microwave tray, leave overnight. The substance will neutralize the majority of odors.

Method number 5. Fragrant herbs

1. To get rid of the acrid smell of burning, prepare a decoction based on sage, lavender, thyme, oregano, lemon balm, eucalyptus. The liquid can be prepared both from a single instance, and from a mixture.
2. Take 70 gr. dried herbs, fill them with 250 ml. boiling water. Allow the liquid to infuse for about half an hour, then strain.
3. Pour the broth into a heat-resistant container, microwave it for 25 minutes, at maximum power.

Method number 6. Milk

1. Milk is able to absorb most of the odors. To do this, pour 250 ml. animal product in a suitable container, mix 45 gr. granulated sugar.
2. Send the composition to the microwave for 7 minutes at maximum power. Keep in mind that the container should not be filled to the brim, otherwise the milk will boil away.

Method number 7. Baking soda

1. To get rid of dirt and burning smell, mix 25 gr. soda and 60 ml. drinking water. Ensure complete dissolution of the composition, then moisten a rag or sponge, proceed to clean the microwave.
2. Do not rinse, allow it to dry. After 1.5 hours, repeat the manipulation. Next, wash the microwave oven with non-hot water, wipe dry.
3. If the substance in its pure form did not help to cope with the problem, you need to use a solution based on vinegar and soda. Take a suitable container, pour water into it 2/3 of the volume.
4. Add 30 gr. drinking soda, 65 ml. table vinegar (concentration 9%). Stir the composition thoroughly, send to the microwave. Turn on the appliance at full power, wait about 25 minutes.
5. After the time has passed, the composition should completely cool, so do not rush to open the microwave door. Next, wipe the oven walls with a dry cloth or rag.

Method number 8. Toothpaste

1. Get mint toothpaste of white color without various additives and impurities. Apply the substance on the walls of the appliance in a thin layer.
2. For convenience, use a brush, while the composition does not need to be rubbed into the surface of the furnace. Wait 4-5 hours, rinse with a soft cloth and non-hot water.

Method number 9. Onion

1. Peel 1 medium-sized onion, chop in small squares, put on a flat dish, place in the oven overnight.
2. Onions can easily cope with the smell of burning, while the vegetable will leave its own flavor. To neutralize it, wash the microwave chamber with soap and water, then wipe dry.

Method number 10. Chemicals

1. Currently, there are many special means of directional action. They include active ingredients that destroy the structure of the pungent odor and burnt food.
2. Choose any product designed to clean household appliances or stoves. These include Silite Bang, Amway, Mr. Propper, Frosch.
3. It is enough to spray the product, wait about 3-4 minutes and wipe it with a clean rag. There will be no trace of pollution and odor. Keep in mind that you need to work with such tools with gloves.
4. It is also worth thoroughly washing the inner chamber of the microwave after applying a chemical agent. Leave the door open for a day so that the smell of the substance completely disappears.

Practical microwave care tips

1. Once you have prepared or warmed up the food, the door of the microwave oven must be left ajar.In this case, odors will not accumulate in the microwave.
