Any clothes are constantly soiled, and especially - top. And if jeans or pants can even be washed, then most jackets such a procedure is contraindicated. But, nevertheless, spots of fat like to land precisely on their surface. What to do in this case? What are the ways to get rid of oily stains on the jacket, and are there the most effective ones among them? Today it will deal with this issue.
Brief general instructions
To get started, get acquainted with the jacket. Yes exactly. To know how you can clean a stain from the surface without damaging your clothes and leaving no residue, it is important to inspect the material and understand what it is. Indeed, in each case, the "treatment" will be different.
The second step is to understand the nature of the spot itself. There is a lot of envy from the limitations of its occurrence. If the problem is completely fresh, then the fight will be less difficult than with hard-pressed mud.
Finally, it is necessary to plan the following actions. Below we will tell you what tools are effective in each case, and also consider all the pros and cons.
How to get rid of stains on textiles
Let's start with the usual material - fabric. Now there are various types of linings and fillers, but usually a thin and light fabric is usually on top. If the jacket can be washed, then everything is simple. It is enough to use all the famous Fairy fat remover. A drop of the product is poured onto a problem place and washed, then rinsed thoroughly and squeezed. Please note: all work is carried out only on the spot, you do not need to completely wet the product! Usually, almost any fat is surrendered under such pressure. By the way, Vanish helps no less cool.
You can do a little different. Do not wash the stain itself, but place the entire jacket in a solution of water with any of the above products. This is necessary in cases where the stain is already quite old. Let it get wet for about 30 minutes. Then wash the clothes - and that’s all, there is no more dirt.
Another way, again, for jackets that are not contraindicated in washing is to use a stain remover. The product is applied to the stain according to the instructions, not some time is left for a more effective effect, and then the entire product is sent to the washing machine. Expose the appropriate program, wash, dry, and usually the problem is solved.
Now let's pay attention to those products for which "bathing" is contraindicated. If you have a textile twist, there is an unsightly greasy stain on it, and it is strictly forbidden to wash, then try any of the methods:
- Laundry soap. Or rather, its powder, which is rubbed directly on the problem area of clothing. Give it about half an hour for the product to draw out all the fat, and then just shake it off. Residues can be removed with a dry brush.
- Liquid ammonia + the universal detergent that you like. Mix the substances in a proportion of 1 teaspoon / half a glass of clean, warm water. Soak a cotton wool in the resulting solution and gently wipe the stain until it disappears. After that it will be possible to iron with a hot iron, covering the problem area with a light natural fabric.
- "Blotter". If you have plain blotting paper in your household, try this method. Fold the blotter in several layers and put it from the inside of the jacket directly onto the stain. Heat the iron and treat it with the right place, leading through the dirt. The heat will melt the fat and soak into the paper on both sides. The method is quite effective.
Many people advise using gasoline, but it is better suited for another type of jacket - leather. Liquid can enter the tissue, and some synthetic fibers can even melt. Then you only spoil the product even more, therefore it is better not to experiment with textile jackets.
And one moment. Before cleaning, treat the surface. But do not wet it, but use dry cleaning: remove dust, walk with a brush. This will help to achieve a better effect.
Remove stains from leather or leatherette
The material for many jackets is not only textiles, but also leather. And here is a little more complicated. Firstly, such products can almost never be washed, which complicates the task. In addition, leatherette is a rather capricious material, unlike genuine leather, so it’s often not worth experimenting with it at all. If in doubt, it is best to take the product to dry cleaning, there they will find the right approach to it.
However, there are proven methods even for such delicate material. Here are the most common ones.
- Petrol. The easiest and most effective way to remove a greasy stain from a leather jacket. Only strong and clean gasoline will do. But first prepare the product. Place absorbent material from the inside (folded cotton cloth, blotting paper, even napkins will do, but more layers will be needed). Moisten a cotton wool in gasoline, rub the stain until it disappears in a circular motion. During the operation, you can use the steamer, then things will go faster.
- Gasoline + acetone. Such a composition may seem "thermonuclear", but it is really effective. When using this tool, even the most hardened spots are given up, and clothes usually do not suffer. The method is extremely contraindicated for materials that contain acetate: such a jacket will deteriorate. But for everyone else, mix both substances in equal proportions and then proceed in the same way as in the first method.
- Strong soapy solution. It affects not only oil or greasy stains, but even varnish. One thing: the problem should be completely fresh, otherwise the method will not work. Prepare a very strong solution of ordinary laundry soap, and then use a brush or cotton swab to clean the surface. Wipe with a clean cloth.
A greasy stain on the jacket is not such a problem, if you know how to deal with it correctly, and most importantly, to effectively fight. But still. The most important advice: not sure - don't do it better then. Take the product to dry cleaning, they will always help. After all, wrong actions can finally and irrevocably ruin even the most beautiful jacket.
