How to whiten a white bra at home

Synthetic bleach

Dilute the bleach in warm water, according to the proportions recommended by the manufacturer, and put a bra in it. After 30-60 minutes, check how yellowness is gone. If the bra has turned white, then rinse it thoroughly and wash in delicate mode.

Remember that you cannot keep underwear in the bleach for more than 2 hours, since the active components will begin to damage thin tissues. The ban is on boiling or just hot water. Guipure and silk can only be washed at temperatures below 30 degrees.

Ammonia

This method was also known to our grandmothers, but many still use it because of its effectiveness and affordability. Pour 5 liters of warm water into a bowl, add 5 tablespoons of ammonia and mix. Then soak the underwear in the solution and leave for 2-12 hours.

After the time has passed, remove the bra, rinse it in clean water and wash in the usual way. If you have several white sets of linen, it is better to soak them separately or add more water. Ammonia should then be diluted at the rate of 1 tablespoon per 1 liter of water.

Blue

To add linen not just white, but a snow-white shade will help ordinary blue. It is added along with the powder, or the laundry is soaked in it after washing. It is possible to determine how much bluing should be put only experimentally, since tissues perceive this dye differently.

Start with one pinch per liter of water and gradually increase the dose to achieve the desired effect. Manganese has the same properties if used instead of blue. But since recently it has become difficult to get it, blue is an indispensable tool.

Hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is a well-known brightener. When there were no modern hair dyes, they became blondes only with her help. Today, peroxide is used exclusively for its intended purpose, and for bleaching clothes.

Dissolve 2 tablespoons of the product in a liter of cold water and soak the bra for 2 hours. For greater effectiveness, you can add a teaspoon of ammonia. Then rinse the laundry and wash in soapy water. If there is a smell of funds, hang out the bra to ventilate on the balcony.

Baking soda

Another indispensable assistant in the kitchen is ready to cope with yellowness on linen. For 1 liter of water, add 2 tablespoons of salt and soda. Then soak the laundry in the resulting solution and rinse after 2 hours.

White

With this tool you need to be very careful and use it only for cotton fabrics. Before soaking it is not superfluous to put on gloves. In 3 liters of water, add a little washing powder, foam it and pour 1 tablespoon of whiteness.

Put the bra in water for 20-30 minutes, and then rinse it well. White is very effective against a yellow and gray tint, but it can only be used in extreme cases.Frequent exposure to delicate fabrics will lead to their thinning.

Laundry soap

Today in stores you can find white laundry soap, for example, the brand “Duru”. It is very effective in combating yellowing and blemishes. Unlike ordinary laundry soap, it has a stronger, but delicate composition.

Grate a little grater and dissolve in water. Soak the bra for 30-40 minutes, and then rinse. To get rid of strong yellowness, gently wash the bra and leave it on for 20 minutes.

Proper care of white underwear

So that your bras do not turn yellow as long as possible, follow the advice of experienced housewives. Then you do not have to expose delicate fabrics to frequent aggressive bleaching:

• do not wear white underwear under dark clothes;
• using a deodorant, wait until it is absorbed, and only then put on a bra;
• choose powders designed for white linen;
• Do not wash at temperatures above 40 degrees, this provokes the appearance of gray color;
• store and wash white items separately from colored ones;
• Do not put different types of fabrics in the machine at the same time.
