There are frequent cases when when working with a car or other equipment drops of oil get on clothes. Such contaminants are considered to be difficult to remove. For this reason, it is recommended to use effective folk and professional cleaning compounds. In the process of removing contaminants, you run the risk of encountering some difficulties. First, it’s important to consider the type of fabric. Secondly, marks remain on the product after stain removal. To prevent such consequences, you must adhere to the instructions.
Ammonia and turpentine
To prepare the mixture you need to take 12 ml. turpentine, 6 ml. ammonia (ammonia) and 60 gr. starch (corn, potato). Combine the prepared components in one mass, mix with a fork.
Turn the clothes inside out, soak the contaminated area in warm water. Apply the resulting mixture and squeeze it with cling film. Next, cover the prepared oil trace on the front side, also cover.
Leave the product on the fabric after waiting 1 hour. After the specified period, remove the polyethylene, rub the dirt with an old toothbrush. If the result does not suit you, repeat the procedure.
Glycerin and chalk
Wash a thing in a household machine, if possible set the maximum temperature. After that take out your clothes, start preparing the mixture. Connect 40 ml together. glycerin (if necessary, melt it in a water bath), 25 ml. drinking water and 55 gr. chalk, pre-ground into powder.
Rub the cooked mass into places with pollution, place polyethylene or foil on top of the stain, wait at least 7-9 hours. In cases where the product has not been soaked in the fibers of the product within the specified period, wait again. Complete the removal of machine oil from clothes washed in a household machine.
Chlorine-containing preparations
As a rule, chlorine-containing preparations are used only on resistant fabrics such as cotton and linen. It is strongly not recommended to remove stains from delicate and synthetic products. At the same time, it is important to pay attention to color; engine oil can only be removed from very light or white things.
Common drugs, which include chlorine, include the well-known "White" and "Perox". The technology for using the product is quite simple: pour 2 liters of water into an aluminum bucket, add 1.5 caps of the composition, mix, place on the stove.
Bring the solution to the appearance of bubbles, lower the clothes into a container, boil for about 40 minutes. After the set time, remove the item with forceps and send it to the machine. Set an intensive wash and a temperature of about 60-75 degrees.
Add baking soda (120 gr.) To the first compartment, add bleach to the second. Be sure to leave the product to dry in the fresh air, but do not allow exposure to ultraviolet radiation. Otherwise, the clothes will turn yellow / gray.
"Borax" (sodium borate)
Take 50 gr. Borax powder (sodium borate), 35 gr. table vinegar solution, 35 gr. fat yogurt or milk. Mix all the components in one composition, put a foil or film on the wrong side of the garment, and apply the mixture to the front. Rub thoroughly into the fibers, then wait half an hour. Complete the machine wash with rinse aid and stain remover.
Experienced housewives have developed a second use of sodium borate in the fight against complex pollution.Take half a lemon, pass it through a meat grinder or blender, mix with 50 gr. "Boers". Apply on stains, leave for 1.5 hours. In cases where engine oil is removed from light products, pre-coat with “Chlorhexidine” (concentration 6%) or peroxide, leave for a quarter of an hour.
Bulb onions
To effectively remove stains from engine oil, you need to peel two onions (white or yellow). After that, the vegetable must be ground in a blender (combine / meat grinder) until porridge forms. As soon as you prepare the product, immediately apply it to the dirt on both sides.
The exposure time is at least 5 hours. The gruel is cleaned with paper towels, after which the trace is washed with warm water. If you are not satisfied with the result, carry out the procedure as many times as the situation requires.
To enhance the effect, you can add 6 garlic cloves chopped into porridge to the onion. Do not worry about the possible smell of vegetables, they are easily removed with lemon juice.
Composition for dishwashers
The technique effectively removes both old spots and neoplasms. To prepare an effective solution, take a wide basin, pour 6 liters into it. water (temperature 45 degrees), add 135 gr. liquid glycerin and 125 ml. means for dishwashers.
Mix the composition with your hands, release clothing into the product. Wrap the container with cling film, wait 6-7 hours. After this time, rinse the item, send it to the machine for final washing. Optionally, you can treat oily spots spotwise.
Professional stain removers
It is important to remember forever that universal instructions for use do not exist. Each manufacturer indicates the recommendations on the back of the bottle, carefully study them before use.
Among the most effective means for removing oily stains, the following can be distinguished: “Minute”, “Antipyatin”, “FRAU Schmidt”, “Eared nanny”, “Amway”, “Ecover”, “Vanish”, “Edelstar”, “Sarma”.
Medical alcohol
Pour ethyl alcohol over the entire surface of the stain, carefully rub into the fibers of the fabric, leave for 1 hour. If it is not possible to purchase medical alcohol, replace it with vodka or moonshine.
Dip a cosmetic swab or cheesecloth in turpentine, spreading it over the surface of the spot with wetting movements. The trace will disappear after a certain period (about 3 hours), so take your time to take any measures.
Vinegar essence
Due to the fact that vinegar essence is used for industrial purposes to maintain color, the product can be used at home on all types and shades of fabric. To remove oily traces, obtain vinegar essence with a concentration of about 68%, not more (less is possible).
Pour 5 liters into a large container. water, add 120 gr. preparation, soak clothes. Wait about 4-6 hours, then remove the item and immediately send it to the machine. In cases where the stain appears small, partially treat the contaminated area.
Despite the fact that stains from engine oil are considered difficult to remove, they can be removed with home remedies.
