How to brush hair and dirt

Everyone, without exception, must follow the basic rules of hygiene. Brush cleaning is included in this list. Often in the cavity between the bristles, hair, dust, residues of sebum and other formations accumulate. It is necessary to clean the hairdresser's tool at least 1 time per week, if possible more often. The technology of the procedure depends on what material the teeth are made of and the comb itself. Consider the basic principles.

Cleaning comb from different materials

Depending on what material is the basis of the comb, cleaning rules also vary. The problem becomes especially urgent if the instrument is dear to you and there is no desire to spoil it.

1. Tree. Wooden combs have several advantages. They do not contribute to electrification, take care of hair, and perform their main function well. But the minus of the devices is that they are extremely difficult to clean. Do not wash combs from wood for too long, otherwise the teeth will crumble. In this situation, use vodka, alcohol or chlorhexidine. Soak a cotton sponge in one of the selected solutions and wipe each tooth and the cavity between them. Alcohol composition eliminates the remains of sebum, cotton wool will absorb all the dirt and dust. In the case of severe contamination, you will have to repeat the procedure several times.
2. Metal. Not the best option for combing, but this is not about that. Metal also cannot be immersed in water for a long time to avoid oxidation. First, drench the teeth with hot water, but do not touch the rubberized part. Then eliminate the dirt using the method described above, use alcohol and a cotton sponge. If your hair is stuck in the comb, get rid of it with toothpicks. Finally, dry the tool so that the metal does not oxidize.
3. Natural pile. Hair brushes with natural bristles are the best option to date. However, such tools are very moody, quickly become dirty and greasy. First, arm yourself with a comb and comb out the bristles to remove excess hair. Then lower the comb under the tap with warm water, moisten well. Start tapping the sink with the bristles so that all the dust falls out of it. Comb again, gently knock out. Repeat manipulations until the comb becomes perfectly clean. At the end of the procedure, wipe it with a towel and dry it in the sun.
4. Plastic. The material is not difficult to maintain, so cleaning will be quick enough. First, get rid of the hair on the comb using toothpicks or an old toothbrush. Then prepare a solution of 1 liter. warm water and baby shampoo. Soak the comb for half an hour in this composition. For the allotted time, all the fat will exfoliate, you just have to rinse the comb under the tap and carry out disinfection. Moisten a cotton pad in vodka, wipe the cloves and the rubber cavity. If the dirt is severe, apply baking soda or toothpowder to the toothbrush, moisten, rub the instrument well and rinse.
5. Tourmaline. The material is natural, therefore it requires meticulous care. On the basis of tourmaline, radio components, jewelry, medical devices and hairbrushes are made. A feature of the material is that it is not afraid of exposure to high temperatures. Therefore, you can safely soak the tool in soapy water and leave for half an hour. After this time, rub the comb with a soda toothbrush. You can disinfect with alcohol.

Cleaning the comb according to shape

The variety of hairdressing tools is amazing.On the shelves of shops you can find round, flat, square, oval and other devices. Everyone has their own purpose and cleaning rules.

Thin round hairbrush

1. Perhaps this type of tool is the most difficult to clean because of its peculiar shape. The hair is woven into the cloves and twisted around the shaft, making it difficult to remove. However, there is a solution.
2. First you need to get rid of hair. Arm yourself with scissors for manicure, pry them under the hair and cut. It is necessary to make the conditionally “circle” of hair open.
3. Then use a toothpick to remove the residue and proceed to clean it from dirt. Mix ammonia with hydrogen peroxide, taking them in 20 ml. Pour this solution into 1 liter. warm water, add 30 ml. shampoo and soak the comb for half an hour or an hour.
4. Next, you need to rub the comb with a toothbrush or an old clean brush from the mascara, sprinkling an improvised tool with soda. At the end of the procedure, rinse the hairbrush thoroughly.

Massage comb

1. To clean the attribute of dust and hair, it is recommended to resort to using a flat comb. You will also need a solution. Take 1 liter. pure water and mix 60 ml. shampoo, 90 ml. table vinegar.

Vinegar and soda

1. The cleaning method is one of the most effective. Soda is able to cope with stubborn pollution, table vinegar breaks down fat well.
2. Before starting the manipulation, remove all hair from the comb to the maximum. To do this, use any available method. In this case, a flat comb, a toothpick, a needle will help.
3. Pass the tool between the pile and get rid of the hair. Then dissolve in 1 liter. water 30 gr. soda and 50 ml. vinegar. Put the attribute on the finished composition for 10 minutes.
4. If minor contamination remains after the procedure, you can remove them with a toothbrush. Wash the comb with running water. Dry the brush down.
5. It is worth knowing that a similar cleaning method is prohibited to apply to wooden combs and products with natural bristles. Soda has a devastating effect on such materials.

Dishwashing liquid

1. The procedure refers to the gentle. Using this tool, you can process absolutely any material. As in the first case, get rid of hair on the comb.
2. Fill the basin with warm water and mix the dishwashing detergent in the form of a gel. Give preference to a composition that breaks down fatty fibers. Keep the brush in the liquid for 20 minutes.
3. After a time, use a toothbrush. Apply dishwashing detergent to the bristles. Start cleaning the hair comb brushes, reaching the bottom. Wash the instrument thoroughly and place it dry on a towel with the bristles down.

Practical recommendations

1. Follow simple recommendations and clean your hair in time. Procedures should be systematically carried out for hygiene purposes. Do not forget to remove the hair from the instrument every evening. You need to wash the hairbrush at least 1 time in 6 days.
2. Keep in mind that wooden attributes require special attention. Such hairbrushes are not recommended to be washed often. Unfortunately, the dry cleaning method does not always cope with complex contaminants. If you often wet the hairbrush, it will begin to delaminate and lose its original shape.
3. Clean your comb every time before applying to clean hair. Use the dry method. The curls will be less dirty and will not leave particles of varnish and other cosmetic compounds on the bristles.
4. If you use a vinegar cleaning method, add a few drops of any ether to the solution. The oil will kill the smell of vinegar and give the comb a pleasant aroma.

Choose the option to clean the hairbrush depending on what shape the tool has and what material it is made of. Be especially careful with natural pile products. Plastic should not be dipped in hot water to avoid deformation. Do not forget to dry the device thoroughly and carry out disinfection.
