How to clean the remote control from the TV

Any technique that is regularly used requires appropriate care. The remote control from the TV does not fall into the category of exceptions. 1. If you currently have batteries in the remote control, remove them for the period of cleaning the device. Otherwise, they may stop working or interfere with the process itself.
2. First, the area around the buttons is cleaned. To do this, arm yourself with medical alcohol or vodka, cotton swabs, cosmetic sponges, and a toothpick.
3. Moisten the disc in alcohol, then blot the surface around the buttons with it. You can use sticks for convenience if the buttons are too close together.
4. If specks are clogged at the button insertion site, arm yourself with a toothpick and try to push the trash out. It is important that contamination does not enter the device. Otherwise, you can’t do without a remote control.
5. After thoroughly cleaning the button area, wipe the entire remote control. In the same way, moisten a cotton sponge in alcohol or vodka, squeeze a little, wipe thoroughly.
6. Change cosmetic discs as they get dirty so that they are completely disinfected. You will not only remove dirt, but also kill possible bacteria on the surface of the console.
7. Instead of alcohol, you can optionally use a special liquid solution to clean the electronics and other similar devices. The composition is sold in a specialized appliance store.
8. Remember to wipe the remote control inside the battery compartment, as well as the lid itself, which covers the batteries. For convenience, use cotton buds in places where the sponge will not crawl.
9. After cleaning, leave the remote control for 10 minutes so that it is completely dry and stops smelling of alcohol. Replace the batteries, but first make sure that the area under the batteries is completely dry.

Cleaning the TV remote control with disassembly

This cleaning option is extremely time consuming, but more effective. The thing is that before the procedure you will need to disassemble the device, decompose it into separate sections. If you are not sure of your actions, use the above (simple) method of cleaning the outside.

Step number 1. Disassemble the remote

Remove the batteries first. Then arm yourself with a small screwdriver and unscrew all the screws that fasten the two halves of the device (front and back).

Water categorically does not fit, give preference to special means for cleaning oxidized contacts. Vodka or medical alcohol is also suitable. Such a composition is sold in an electronics store.

Spray the product on the board with a thin layer. If alcohol is used, they need to moisten a cotton swab or a thick paper towel.

Wipe all elements of the board well on both sides, then place on a cloth and leave to dry. Typically, any electronics cleaner or alcohol will evaporate quickly.

Step number 4. Clean the buttons
The buttons on the remote control are the easiest to clean. To do this, use a soap solution, because alcohol can make the rubber buttons stiff. Mix the dishwashing gel with warm water and beat in foam.

Dip the buttons in this solution and let it soak for 10 minutes. During this time, dust and greasy spots, as well as other contaminants, will go away.

Then you can arm yourself with an old toothbrush or paint brush and rub the elements well.
After all the manipulations, rinse the buttons under the tap, wipe and let dry on a clean napkin or towel.

Step number 5. Assemble the remote control back
When all cleaning measures come to an end, it is necessary to reassemble the remote control in its previous state. You probably remember what suits you, repeat the steps in reverse order.

First install the buttons on the circuit board, then insert this design into one of the remote control halves. Fold the case together, screw all the screws back into place.

Make sure the remote control is fully assembled, then insert the batteries. If possible, buy a cover on the device, so that in the future do not carry out such complex cleaning with disassembly.
