The specific color of this product is due to its high content of iron, magnesium, phosphorus, iodine, copper and other useful substances. Red varieties are unpolished grains, i.e. it is bran rice. Thanks to the preserved skin, such a product is rich in minerals, antioxidants and fiber, which has a beneficial effect on the digestive tract and the body as a whole.

Red rice is very nutritious and healthy. Among its healing components and properties it should be noted:

  1. B vitamins that support healthy skin, nails and hair.
  2. Calcium and magnesium, which stimulate the healthy functioning of the heart, muscle and nervous system.
  3. A complex of amino acids that normalize metabolic processes and lower blood cholesterol.
  4. Antioxidants that remove toxins from cells and promote rejuvenation.

Red rice has a delicate nutty floral aroma and a sweetish flavor. It is prepared with meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, nuts and spices. With the right choice of seasonings, the dishes acquire a unique delicate taste and will appeal to even extremely selective gourmets.

Such rice is cooked a little longer than usual, but thanks to the skin it does not break up and does not burn. To make a delicious side dish, you first need to sort out the groats. Among unrefined grains, extraneous impurities may occur. To do this, it is enough to distribute a handful of rice on a clean table and select the specks. After that, the rice is washed on a sieve and cooked in a pan with a thick bottom or a special machine.

One glass of rice requires about two and a half glasses of water. Cover the boiling pot so that the rice swells for a couple, but leave a click for the evaporation of water.Salt, sugar and spices are added immediately or after preparation of the grains. Ready rice must be sprinkled with vegetable oil. Boiled cereals can be stewed with vegetables and meat or served as a finished side dish.

Prepare:

  • 2 tbsp. rice;
  • 1 large zucchini;
  • half a can of corn (or 1 fresh corncob);
  • a bunch of fresh dill;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • Pine nuts;
  • olive oil and spices.

Boil the rice. Fry the nuts in a dry frying pan (2-3 minutes). Dice zucchini into cubes or rings (as you like), salt and fry in oil until golden brown. Grind garlic and dill, nuts can be crushed. Pour the dressing with oil, you can also add a little lemon juice or balsamic vinegar. Combine the corn, rice and zucchini with dressing and serve.

Savory recipe from Asia
Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp. rice;
  • 300 g of shrimp;
  • 150 g of asparagus beans;
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic;
  • green onions;
  • chilli;
  • ginger root;
  • sesame oil (2-3 tablespoons).

Boil the rice and unfreeze the shrimp. Heat sesame oil in a deep frying pan and grate chopped garlic and ginger in equal proportions in it over low heat. Add the chopped beans, a few minutes later - shrimp. Then pour rice, chopped peppers and onions, mixing thoroughly. To enhance the flavor, you can add oyster sauce to the dish. Bring to readiness and serve. The appetizer is good in hot and cold.

Dessert red rice
You will need:

  • 1.5 tbsp. rice.
  • 3 tablespoons of honey.
  • Vegetable oil (olive or corn).
  • 150 g of nut mixture: almonds, cashews, walnuts, nutmegs.
  • 50 g of sweet raisins.
  • 1 medium apple.
  • 1 thick peach.
  • Cloves or other spices to taste.

Boil the rice, rinse the raisins, if necessary, soak it in warm water. Grind the nut mixture in a mortar or blender with large grinding and fry in a dry pan for a couple of minutes. Cut the fruit into slices, heat the oil in a frying pan and fry them a little on both sides, add honey and spices, and then simmer over low heat until the flavor begins. Mix fruits with rice, nuts and raisins. Dessert can be served warm or cold.
