How to make mojito at home

Mojito has won the trust of not only lovers of noisy parties, but also those who prefer to relax in a cozy atmosphere with friends. The mint and lime included in the drink soothe the nervous system and promote relaxation. Mojito can be alcoholic and nonalcoholic; the recipes for both types are similar. To make a drink at home, it is enough to follow the recommendations and not spare money on the components. It takes about 15 minutes to prepare one cocktail, which is good news.

Non-alcoholic mojito with pineapple juice

For preparation you will need: lime - 1 pc., Mint leaves - 20 g., Brown sugar - 20 g., Pineapple juice - 550 ml.

  1. Mint the mint leaves in the mortar to give the plant juice and esters. You will feel a characteristic rich aroma. Pour brown sugar and grind it.
  2. Cut lime into 3 equal slices, squeeze the juice from two parts, leave one for decoration. After the citrus has given the liquid, place it on the mint and mash it well.
  3. Now you need to prepare crushed ice in a convenient way. Use a special knife or break it in a shaker, then add to mint and lime so that the glass is half full.
  4. Pour in pineapple juice, mix the composition with a teaspoon.
  5. Garnish with a slice of the remaining lime, stick the straw.

Non-alcoholic Mojito with Orange

For preparation you will need: lime - 0.5 pcs., Lemon - 0.5 pcs., Honey - 30 g., Mineral water with gas - 350 ml., Fresh mint - 20 g., Orange - 1 pc.

  1. Squeeze the juice from the orange and lemon in a convenient way, set aside. Chop the zest of citruses into medium slices and place them in a glass.
  2. Mash well, add honey and lime juice.
  3. Add mint and lime zest. Grind again, pour in freshly squeezed juice of orange and lemon, add crushed ice.
  4. After all preparations pour in sparkling water.
  5. Garnish a glass with a slice of any citrus and a mint leaf, insert a straw.

For cooking, you will need: frozen cherry - 70 gr., Lime - 1 pc., Fresh mint - 15 gr., Orange - 1 pc., Water with gas - 320 ml., Sugar (white or brown) - 20 gr.

  1. Place the mint in a glass, mash it with a wooden cutlery. You can use a special tool (pestle) or the back of a kitchen spatula.
  2. Remove the seeds from the cherry, combine the berries with cane sugar, grind in a mortar to obtain a liquid mixture. Add to mint.
  3. Chop the lime into 3 sections, two of which are the same size, and the third is smaller (for decoration). Squeeze the juice from two parts, put the zest in a glass, mash in a convenient way (pestle, spatula).
  4. Squeeze the juice from the orange, chop a quarter of the zest and send it into a glass, mash the peel.
  5. Add crushed ice, fill all the components with sparkling water.
  6. Garnish the glass with a leaf of mint and a slice of lime, insert a straw, start tasting.

Non-alcoholic Mojito with Kiwi

For preparation you will need: kiwi - 1 pc., Mint - 25 gr., Honey - 25 gr., Carbonated drink "Shveps" - 310 ml., Lime - 1 pc.

  1. Place the mint leaves in a glass, mash with a pestle until juice is formed.
  2. Remove peel from kiwi, grind it into pieces, place in a glass and turn the fruit into porridge. Add honey, mix well with a fork or other appliance with slightly sharp edges.
  3. Cut the lime into 3 equal parts, squeeze the juice out of two, place the zest in a glass. Leave the third for decoration and subsequent consumption.
  4. Crack the ice, pour in the Schweppes.
  5. Place a slice of lime on the edge of the glass, insert the straw. Eat a citrus fruit before use.

For preparation you will need: white rum (preferably Bacardi) - 90 ml., Carbonated drink "Sprite" - 250 ml., Lime - 1 pc., Sugar (cane or white) - 25 gr., Fresh mint leaves - 25 column

  2. Cut the lime into 3 parts, two of them should be the same size, the third will serve as a decoration. Squeeze the juice from the citrus, place the peel in a glass and mash with a pestle.
  3. Chop the ice with a knife or use a shaker, fill it with a glass.
  4. Pour in rum and Sprite, stir.
  5. Garnish with a slice of lime, insert a straw and boldly treat your friends.

Alcoholic mojito with vodka

For preparation you will need: tangerines - 2 pcs., Vodka - 45 g., Lime - 1 pc., A slice of orange for decoration, mint leaves - 20 g., Honey - 30 g., Soda or tonic - 300 ml.

  1. For the preparation of mojito based on vodka, seedless tangerines are used. Remove the peel from them, mash them into separate slices and place in the freezer for 1 hour.
  2. Grind fresh mint leaves in a mortar, add honey and grind the mixture.
  3. Squeeze the juice from the whole lime fruit, cut the zest into pieces and add to the glass.
  4. Remove the tangerines from the freezer, place them in a bowl and knead well.
  5. Chop the ice in a shaker or use a knife, mix with the rest of the ingredients.
  6. Pour in vodka and soda (tonic), place a slice of orange on the edge of the glass, stick a tube. Enjoy the fruits of the work done.

For preparation you will need: fresh or frozen strawberries - 8 berries, fresh mint leaves - 25 gr., Lime - 1 pc., Schweppes or Sprite carbonated drink - 300 ml., Mint or strawberry syrup - 15 ml., white rum "Bacardi" - 80 ml., honey - 25 gr.

  1. Place honey and strawberries in a blender, chop until porridge is formed.
  2. Mash mint in a glass. Cut the lime into 2 parts, squeeze the juice, mix with mint. Grind zest from half a citrus into pieces, add to a cocktail.
  3. Put ice and rum in the shaker, stir well. If there is no shaker, you can use an iron tank with a lid.
  4. After the ice and rum are mixed, add them to the glass and fill with a carbonated base ("Schweppes", "Sprite").
  5. Add syrup, mix the ingredients with the back of a teaspoon.
  6. Place a leaf of mint on the edge of the glass, stick the tube and serve to the table.

It is not difficult to prepare mojito if you observe the proportions and possess the necessary ingredients. The cocktail is served immediately after preparation, make sure that all ingredients are pre-chilled. If desired, you can turn a non-alcoholic drink into an alcoholic one by adding rum or vodka.
