It's no secret that modern children are far from the entertainment of their parents. Today, no one walks from morning to night, chasing the ball and playing various outdoor games. Many teenagers go out with gadgets - tablets, phones, game consoles. And communication with peers comes down to a discussion of new games and the capabilities of modern technology. In such conditions, youth becomes physically weak. If a couple of dozen years ago, almost every child went in for some kind of sport, today this is more the exception than the rule. Not all modern guys are able to pull themselves up and push up, to speak of more serious physical skills. But if you are a parent, everything can be changed. The right approach will help you interest the child and teach him to play sports. Here are a few rules that will help you introduce your child to sports.
Set a personal example
This is one of the main conditions that will help you instill in your child a love of sports. It is difficult to make a child run in the mornings while sitting on the couch and eating another sandwich. The kid will perceive the movement as something forced and extremely unloved. And if dad and mom put on a beautiful uniform in the morning, take a player with good music and call the child with them - it is unlikely that the baby will refuse such a pastime.
Do morning exercises, go to workouts and take your child with you, devote more time to outdoor activities. And then your baby will understand that sport is really an integral part of life.
Arouse interest
In a country house or even in a park, you can play badminton, jump on a rope, play a ball. When compiling a list of regular tasks, do not forget to include the need for active communication with your child. After all, how often do we, parents, forget to take care of the child, explaining this by great fatigue after work. But children grow up, and we always work. If the baby stops looking for fun in your face, he will start looking for them on the street. And then it will be more difficult to accustom him to something useful.
Any rest, be it a barbecue trip or a New Year's trip to the mountains, must be combined with activity. In the summer you can swim, run, play volleyball. In winter, be sure to ski, snowboard. And if you can’t leave the city, just go to the city park to skate.
Put your child in the sports section
A happy child is, first of all, a healthy child. Do not rush to give the baby in English, modeling courses and in the circle of a young technician. Before developing a child mentally, it must be physically occupied. After all, as you know, sport helps to strengthen the health of the child, raises his immunity. Proper sports will make the baby strong, resilient, flexible and slim. And for classes to be regular, you need to sign up for the sports section.
You should not record the child in the section that, in your opinion, suits him best. Let the child choose the sport that attracts him.Only true interest and passion will help your child do what he loves. The trainer is also important in this matter. Get acquainted with the future mentor, tell him about the characteristics of your child. After all, the children are different and they need an approach. For one, the words of praise are important - for the sake of them the baby will try very hard. Another responds only to severity - anger spurs the child to achieve new heights. And vice versa, one unfortunate word of a coach can completely discourage a child from playing sports.
You, in turn, should encourage the baby. For the next holiday, give him not a tablet or a sweater, but buy a beautiful sports uniform, ball or equipment necessary for his sports section. Go with your child to competitions of the kind that attracts him. Praise your child for success and help to survive failures. You can talk about the sports path of your favorite idol. And let the question of professional sports still in the uncertain future, believe in your child. And tell him what he does best - the baby will be proud of his success.
What kind of sport
Movement is life. From the very first days of life, a child tries to move, waves its arms and legs, tries to roll over and crawl. When a child gets to his feet, any adult can envy his energy. Over time, this energy needs to be redirected to the right direction. Preschool kids are best suited for swimming, dancing, acrobatics, gymnastics. After five years, you can begin to engage in more serious sports - tennis, martial arts, team games, figure skating, hockey or skiing. In order for the baby to try himself in one or another sport, he must feel it. Often, a single view from the side here is not enough. In many sections there are free trial classes in which the child will be able to get acquainted with the training process.
If the child does not want to go to training, do not force him. Try another sport - maybe he will like it. But it often happens that a child likes sports, but the new environment and strangers confuse the baby. In this case, you need to try to bring the baby to training with his friend or acquaintance, so that it is not so scary. You can attend the first trainings so that the baby feels more confident. Usually trainers have a special approach to such shy children.
When thinking about a sport that would please your child, try to analyze its nature. If he plays well in a team, likes to spend time with friends and understands common goals, you can try to send him to volleyball, soccer, basketball. If the kid appreciates the personality and tries to do everything himself, then athletics, tennis, shooting, swimming will do. Pay attention to the physique of the future athlete. Which sides of his physics are the strongest? Perhaps he runs the fastest in class? Has he developed strength or endurance? Or maybe your child is incredibly flexible? Important, but not critical, is the gender of the child. If your boy is sophisticated, slender and able to move smoothly, maybe you should not drag him to boxing, but offer him sports ballroom dancing? The same thing, if the girl is very active and martial, she does not need gymnastics, give her in martial arts. Watch your child, and you yourself will understand that he will suit and like it.
When we were children, we climbed fences, explored the surroundings, jumped through garages and ran away from neighboring dogs. Now is another time and no one needs to blame. A large number of cars and highways, as well as turbulent conditions, are unlikely to allow parents to let their children walk around the neighborhood. But the opportunity to move and play sports must always be sought.Be on the move, play sports, set a personal example for your child, and he, looking at his parents, will be active, cheerful, and alert!
