Hydrogen peroxide solution

2. Combine 75 ml in one composition. hydrogen peroxide (concentration of 3-6%), pour 25 g. chopped salt and add 30 ml. table vinegar.

6. The composition can be absorbed unevenly or leak out during the drying process, in which case it is recommended to carry out a second procedure.

Option number 2
This method is considered more complicated, because for its preparation it is required to purchase a solution of luminol (3%). It is not so easy to get the drug, but it is he who makes the laces glow.

1. As in the previous case, you need to protect the exposed areas of the body and the mucous membranes of the eyes.
2. After that, prepare a flask with a high neck or a glass cup, which will not be pitifully thrown away later.
3. Connect among themselves 15 ml. 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, 10 ml. 3% luminol solution.
4. Pour into a separate container 100 ml. boiling water, add 30 gr. powder for washing machines. Mix, wait until the granules are completely dissolved.
5. Cool the powder mixture to room temperature, add a mixture of luminol and peroxide solutions to the beaker / flask.
6. Grind between two tablespoons 2 crystals of potassium permanganate, carefully pour to the rest of the ingredients.
7. Stir the resulting mixture, pour another 100 ml. purified water and wait for the glow effect.
8. Place the laces in the vessel, leave for 1-1.5 hours, then pull and dry naturally. Avoid direct sunlight, do not leave laces on radiators.

Pigment coloring

For the manufacture of luminous shoelaces you need to purchase phosphoric or fluorescent paint. The composition can be bought at the stationery store or in the department of LED technology.

First you need to dilute the paint according to the instructions. As a rule, the pigment is diluted with water, and not with a solvent (water-based composition). The more fluid you pour into the paint, the dimmer the end result. Do not abuse water, bring the composition to the consistency of liquid sour cream.

You can use undiluted paint, but then the laces should not be soaked, but painted with a soft brush. At the end of all manipulations, lay the product in a horizontal position under direct sunlight.

If, after drying, the paint adheres to the surface on which it lies, turn the laces on the other side, then go over them with a thin brush.

Shoelaces using phosphoric paint will last you a long time if you “charge” them in the light every day. Enough exposure for 4-5 hours is enough for the attribute to glow in the dark for the rest of the night.

Regarding the fluorescent base, the laces will glow under daylight and in the daytime (at night the composition is not active). If you get high-quality paint, it will not wash off the surface even after 5-10 washings.

Silicone tubes

If in the case of peroxide, even girls can make luminous shoelaces, then this option is more suitable for men.

1. For an effective procedure, get a silicone tube. To find out the length, measure your shoelaces. As a rule, 1-1.5 meters is enough. Choose a diameter tube so that it fits the holes on the sneakers. After the purchase, cut it into two equal parts.
2. Put liquid silicone into the syringe, fill it with the cavity of both tubes. Move on both sides, avoid the formation of bubbles, otherwise the laces will look messy.
3. Attach LEDs to each end of the lace. For these purposes, use a soldering iron or glue “Secunda”, the first option is preferable.
4. Now we take care directly of the power source. Attach 4 batteries to the LEDs, observing the polarity. If you will not use the laces around the clock, build a kind of “On / Off” control.

Chemical composition

1. Protect your skin from possible contact with chemical components, wear glasses (welding suits) and a bathrobe.
2. Get the phosphor in the amount of 180 g., Dissolve it in 200 ml. cool water.
3. Pour in 75 ml. a solution of hydrogen peroxide (3-6%), pour 3 g. copper sulfate. Wait for the crystals to dissolve.
4. Add to the existing mixture 90 ml. water, 10 ml. sodium solution and 60 gr. phosphorus-based pigment.
5. Pour the liquid into a glass resealable container, shake well.
6. Put the shoelaces in the solution, wait until the mixture is absorbed into the fabric.
7. Dry in the fresh air away from direct ultraviolet light. As a result, you should get a bright glow of a blue tint.

Cold neon

To create shoelaces in this way you will need to purchase an electroluminescent wire. The method is considered quite time-consuming, but if you spend energy and focus on the little things, everything will surely work out.

1. Prepare 2 meters of neon (fluorescent) wire in advance, 2 pieces of inverter, scissors or wire cutters.
2. Place the neon cord on a flat surface, measure the middle and carefully cut it into 2 parts (1 meter each).
3. Take the first inverter, connect a neon cord to it. Do the same with the second device.
