Offspring

As soon as the eggs are safely hidden, the snake considers its duties fulfilled and does not return to the nest anymore. Left to their own devices, they lie for about 90-100 days, storing embryos, and then completely formed small snakes, behind the leathery shell. After leaving the egg, they are completely independent and do not need the care of adults. In the early days of life, insects become the main food for them.
Young snakes survive the first molt at the age of 10 days, gradually increasing their weight, body length and moving to an adult nutrition system.
