Bell pepper is widely used in cooking. Gardeners grow various varieties that differ in color, fruit shape and taste. Aristotle refers to hybrids. It is appreciated for its unpretentiousness to climatic conditions and high productivity. A cultivar was developed for cultivation in central Russia in greenhouses, and in open beds in the southern regions.
Grade description
The bushes are strong, medium-sized, grow up to 70 cm. The leaves are medium-sized, slightly wrinkled. The fruits are shiny, cuboid in shape, when fully ripened, they acquire a red tint. The skin is dense, fleshy, wall thickness 7-8 mm. One fruit weighs an average of 180-200 grams. The taste is excellent sweetish, without bitterness. Ovaries form even in adverse weather conditions.
The hybrid is characterized by high productivity and resistance to common diseases. From one square meter, you can collect 5.3 kg of ripe peppers. The universal vegetable crop is suitable for fresh consumption, for preparing lecho and for freezing.
Growing Features
Sowing of seeds is carried out 75-80 days before the intended planting in a permanent place. It is best to sow immediately in separate pots or glasses. Pepper does not tolerate picking, so it is better not to risk it. For sowing, you need to prepare a nutrient mixture. The soil must be mixed with fertilizers, having previously disinfected it. This can be done by calcination at high temperature, or spill the soil with a solution of potassium permanganate. For germination, crops are kept indoors at a temperature of + 25- + 26 degrees. To obtain sprouts more quickly, the containers are covered with a film on top.
Planting in a greenhouse or in open beds is carried out without deepening. The soil should be well warmed up and sufficiently moistened. If necessary, plantings are covered with film material. In pepper, the lateral roots do not grow, so this is not required. 4 seedlings are placed on one square meter. To obtain a richer harvest and high-quality healthy fruits, the variety needs to provide complete care.
Care Rules
For a vegetable, it is important to ensure regular watering, fertilizing and loosening the soil. Water pepper should only be warm settled water. It is recommended to carry out the procedure in the evening or in the morning. Do not overmoisten the roots and allow drying. After watering, the soil under the bushes must be loosened. So the earth will be enriched with oxygen. Be sure to timely get rid of weed grass. Weeds pull nutrients from the soil, and are also carriers of dangerous fungi.
You need to feed plants over the summer at least 3-4 times. The first time this needs to be done two weeks after planting seedlings, the second - during the flowering period, then top dressing is introduced during the ripening of the fruits. In order to minimize the possible risks of infection with a virus or fungus, as well as from pests, plants are sprayed with insecticides.
Aristotle peppers are distinguished by remarkable taste and ease of care. With minimal physical labor, you can get excellent juicy and aromatic fruits. With bell pepper, any dish will acquire a unique taste and aroma. Also, the vegetable is perfect for harvesting for the winter, it is frozen and added to various salads.
