The history of the Siamese breed

The country that is home to these cats is Thailand. At the very beginning of the development, the Siamese breed was considered sacred animals. They were protected by law, as well as universally respected cats. Royal Thai families used Siamese representatives for special rituals. The life of Siamese cats in Europe began in the late nineteenth century. The hair of the animal is rather dense texture, short, but shiny. The cat itself is quite miniature, which contributed to the narrow skeleton. Another feature of cats of this breed is a kind of mask on the face, as it is called, and the color of the legs. The latter, as well as the muzzle, has a darker coat color than throughout the body. This feature of the animal is explained by body temperature. Because the temperature on the legs and muzzle is lower than the pigment, which is responsible for coat color. This creates a smooth transition of color, which makes the breed unusual and beautiful.
