Tomato Moravian miracle - a variety tested by time. It was developed by Dutch scientists more than 20 years ago and has still not lost its relevance, taking preference among beginners and experienced gardeners. The best recommendation is its inclusion in the State Register with a recommendation for planting in the open ground. The plant perfectly survives in the greenhouse, on the garden and even on the balcony, is well adapted to the climate of central Russia.
Description and characteristic
The variety belongs to early ripening, the fruits are ripened on 86 - 90 days. The bush is tall, with a sufficient amount of light grows up to 170 cm. The fruits are collected in clusters, in the largest there are up to 30 ovaries at a time. The more fruits on the brush, the smaller they are. The standard value ranges from 30 to 60 gr. Since a lot of them are tied in one plant, the yield is 2 - 2.5 kg from one bush, subject to the rules of care and feeding.
Often a variety is used for decorative purposes, settling on inclined trellises. Harvest ripens gradually, so the bushes have almost an iridescent color. The first fruits are already bright red, the middle of the brush is from green to white, and the buds only open at the tip.
The plant requires garter and regular pinching. It is formed most often in 3 trunks, while giving a plentiful harvest.
Important: very resistant to late blight and apical rot of fruits.
Grade Benefits
Positive qualities experts consider:
- profuse bearing;
- resistance to the spectrum of common diseases;
- early ripening;
- good taste;
- ease of care.
The disadvantages can be considered a short shelf life. The skin of the fetus is very delicate and thin, so it is better to process the crop immediately. Fruits are suitable for preservation in general, good for making juices, sauces. Tomato salad of this variety has a rich tomato flavor without excessive acid.
Growing seedlings
The variety is early ripe, so you should take care of the greenhouse or grow strong healthy seedlings in advance, which are not afraid of temperature changes and other climatic vagaries of spring.
Seeds for planting are prepared in mid-March. The soil mixture is made up of equal shares of peat, sand, garden soil. Ash is sometimes added. You can buy a ready-made mixture for nightshade at a specialty store.
Please note: seedlings tolerate transplanting easier if it is moved to a bed with the usual soil or planted in peat cups. In this case, damage to the root hairs will be minimal and the adaptation period will be significantly reduced.
Seeds are sown in warm, moist soil and deepened by 1.5 - 2 cm. Cases for better germination are covered with a transparent film or glass. The temperature is kept between 22 - 24 ° C. Shoots appear on the 5-7th day, after the formation of 2 real leaves of the plant, you need to plant it. 14 days before planting in open ground, seedlings are gradually tempered, taking to a place protected from the wind.
If a mass planting is planned and the ripening period is not essential, sowing of seeds immediately in the beds is allowed, taking into account weather and climatic conditions. The density is 3-4 bushes per 1 sq.m.Plants feel best of all in the beds on which pumpkin, cucumbers, cabbage used to grow. It is undesirable to plant tomatoes after potatoes.
