Tomato Icicle black - description and characteristics of the variety

Tomatoes are very popular among summer residents and farmers. Many varieties are suitable for canning, but the Icicle black tomatoes are definitely suitable for any harvesting. In greenhouses, the height of the bushes can reach 2 meters. On the open ground, the bushes are slightly smaller. In this regard, plants need to be tied to supports and stepson.

Fruits in shape resemble oblong plums with a sharp nose. One tomato can reach 12 cm in length. Ripe tomatoes acquire a brown color. The pulp is dense, juicy, there are few seeds inside. The skin is thin and smooth, often bursting when preserved. The mass of one tomato is 80-100 grams.

Tomatoes do not crack, which increases their shelf life and makes them suitable for transportation over long distances. Inflorescences are formed by brushes. From one bush you can collect up to 10 kg of ripe quality fruits.

Landing in the soil is made 50-60 days after sowing seeds. If the seedlings turned out to be long with thin stems, then it is better to plant it in a lying position. For this, the seedlings are placed in the prepared furrows to a depth of 20 cm, and they are covered with soil, leaving 3-4 leaves from the top. After a few days, the bushes will acquire an upright position and begin to develop. Near each seedling, a metal or wooden support is required, to which the bushes will be tied as they grow.

Tomatoes Icicle black, like all varieties of tomatoes, need additional nutrition. About 3 times per season, the bushes should be fed with organic fertilizers. Plants also need mineral supplements. This is best done immediately after planting, during flowering, and when fruiting begins. It is recommended to water the variety once a week with warm water. Watering is carried out under the root. Do not get involved in watering, waterlogged soil adversely affects the root system of plants.

In order to protect the bushes from pests and dangerous fungi, it is necessary to carry out timely loosening of the soil, spud and weed the places around the bushes. The variety has high resistance to diseases and harmful insects, however, for the prevention, you can spray the bushes with special preparations.

Tomatoes of the Icicle Black variety are distinguished by an early ripening period. Sugar dense fruits are great for all types of workpieces.
